So, Cells' services randomly stop working after some hours and always randomly gives me "is being locked" errors when uploading files via browser (I use Redis with Nextcloud). It is not my system, as other containers run flawlessly 24/7, like .

Think I am going back to for file synchronization. It's much more mature, stable and reliable compared to the competitors.

Just tried the latest stable with and what can I say? File synchronization, especially via browser, still sucks.

Updated from 5.13 to 5.14 in my app and now the font used for several widgets, such as buttons, group boxes etc. looks condensed on a normal FHD display. This only happens when enabling high dpi scaling, i.e., setting AA_EnableHighDpiScaling to true. If this is normal behaviour, it looks weird.

#PyInstaller still needs #funding for maintenance to be continued. If there is no sustainable funding until January 2020, I will officially retire as a maintainer.

I regret using plain files as a database instead of ...

I have to revise my last status about pydio cells. I can't recommend it right now for production use. It crashed after 3h with a segfault in one of the many services (probably pydio.grpc.tasks) due to some invalid json(?). I am using their (latest) official docker release and nginx configuration.

Someone write me a bot which posts this link hourly until the complexity epidemic is over

Then all software developers see nothing but this until they fix their fucking shit

Installed Pydio Cells on my VPS to see if it is an alternative to Seafile. So far it looks promising, although the non docker install is a bit weird, as it binds itself to the already existing docker0 network interface. Also, with the non docker install I was not able to get sync working, so in the end I went with the docker install.

Journey of a pyqtGraph beginner: It seems pyqtGraph is not handling zero values for logarithmic scales automatically, i.e., log10(0) doesn't work well and breaks the graph. Looks like I have to filter them on my own. I think matplotlib has some kind of internal filter for this case.

From now on I will use Codeberg.org instead of Gitlab as a fallback location for Git repos. Codeberg uses Gitea too and it's a German not-for-profit organization.

#GMail is harmful to e-mail ecosystem; its antispam blocking policy matches too many valid messages as spam.

It blocked LastPass email leak warning email, because it contained "a link" to a leaked site.

It blocked an e-mail from goverment agency addressed directly to me.

It discriminates all non-gmail servers, and it's pretty much impossible to own a private SMTP server these days, because GMail will classify everything as spam.

It's not how e-mail should work.

Consider dropping GMail.

Looking for an #Android Dev who could help establishing a "foss build flavor" removing Crashlytics from an app at github.com/yevhenii-kanivets/M - anyone out there to help? If it's not you, please boost. Thanks!

Somehow I missed the go live of @codeberg early this year. Finally, there is a foss alternative to github!
